MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Commissioners met Thursday afternoon with Michael Young and Curtis Olson, members of the Peoples Constitution Coalition of Ohio.

    Amazing! Look at that! A conservative group thinks that the local government supporting the Memorial Building (a public space) is a Good Thing. And, by the way, can they please have it for free? You know, like a socialized public space?

    …Can we take this as an admission that they’re ok with single-payer health care, too?

    I’m going to go out on a limb and suggest that Young and his group didn’t read the article a few months ago when the local theatrical groups met with the commissioners regarding the rental fees at the Memorial Building.

    The Memorial Building is accessible to the county residents – at a cost. Certainly Young and his group aren’t suggesting preferential treatment for one group? Perhaps a church that one of the members of this group belongs to might be a better meeting location.

    They need a meeting room? Hey, maybe these yahoos can get an amendment on the ballot that says the sheriff can commandeer any space for a meeting of redneck revolutionary wannabees, provided that a petition is circulated (written on parchment with a quill pen, of course) and signed by ten percent of the male population over the age of 65.
