I'm new to Knox County, but I always vote for schools. 1) the tax is deductible and I'd rather the money go locally than as an income tax where it's spent somewhere in the state or on some federal program. 2) People who move here with kids buy homes where the schools are good, so it means more buyers and increased home sales, purely supply & demand. 3) Areas with good schools have more pride in the community and I'd rather see our kids get a good start in life and fulfill their dreams. 4) When we elect a school board, then at least do what they tell us is needed, since we hired them to look into this for us and to represent our views, so if they feel it's needed, then they at least saved me the time to research what is needed.
