MOUNT VERNON — Four area schools — East Knox, Mount Vernon, North Fork and Northridge — had levies on the November ballot, and, according to unofficial results, Knox County voters rejected every one of them.

    Way to go, Mount Vernon. THIS is the way to attract new brains to your town. Underfund the schools! Unbelievable.

    If Mt. Vernon puts the levy up again, I will work just as hard to put it down. We cannot afford to pay them another penny. Cut sports and everything else that is not needed to graduate. God knows my family has cut out everything we possibly can, why does the district think it’s better than we taxpayers?
