Knox County Sheriff’s Office investigating afternoon Centerburg bank robbery

George Breithaup/News The First Federal Savings & Loan Association of Centerburg closed early on Friday after the office was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money. The Knox County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

The First Federal Savings and Loan Association of Centerburg was robbed this afternoon by a lone robber.
At approximately 2:35 p.m., a male entered the bank and demanded money from a teller. The suspect, who did not show a weapon, left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, according to bank President Terry Bumpus.

No one was injured in the incident.
