I almost had one installed on my roof last year. It actually costs more to be installed in your yard, as it’s a “custom” install as I was told by dish installer. If it’s put on roof the have to use lagbolts to secure it to the roof, I was told by installer that this is could “void” warranty on shingles on someones roof so most put it on the ground. I could think of better place to have a connnector road. What a waste I don’t think it’ll be used much, it’s so hard to get out of the Hospital exit as it is… Quit wasting the “people’s money” on silly projects.

I think the city needs to worry about the roads that they have, not making another one they cant take care of. It is hard to find a road in this town that isnt filled with potholes. As for the satellite dishes WHO CARES. There are plenty of other houses in this town that looks like a dump, worry about that first.

I think the city needs to worry about fixing the roads they have, not adding another one they cant take care of when it turns into pot holes. You cant hardly drive on a road in this town without a wheel falling off. I agree with the last comment who care where a satellite dish is, there is plenty of other houses that looks like a dump that needs to be taken care of first.

Requiring building permits for satellite dish installation is just another way for the local government to take citizens’ money…plain and simple. Pass an ordinance with some basic guidelines based upon public safety and aesthetics and then let the citizens call-in or patrolmen make reports if they think something isn’t right. Keep it simple and stop taking citizens’ money every chance you get.nnAs far as the access road…eminent domain is just a term governments use to steal from private owners.

I am not from the mt Vernon area but have lived here the past 2 years. Now I will say this Town has some good things but the satellite ordinance is ridiculous. Also Lowes is probably ignoring you because you have stupid guidelines and rules that are unnecessary. Worry more about the good of the town and less about peopleu2019s home entertainment.
