You brought up an excellent reason I would have never thought of. Let’s hope they think of the same way. I also didn’t know Ohio was home to 24 astronauts.

Ohio is home to 24 Astronauts, 3 of which whose names come to mind with the early space Program. John Glenn, who manned the first orbital mission for the US; Neil Armstrong, who was the first man to walk on the moon; Jim Lovell, backup pilot for the Gemini 4 flight and backup Commander for the Gemini 9 flight, as well as backup Commander to Neil Armstrong for the Apollo 11 lunar landing mission. Let’s throw in the Wright Brothers and Ohio being “first in flight” and ask ourselves…. why weren’t we chosen?

Ohio, specifically Dayton, is the birthplace of the Wright brother who are the inventors of flight. The National Museum of the United States Air Force is a free of charge and is in the central location for a majority of people to visit. I am always astonished by all the out of state license plates that I see every time I visit.
