Jaguar collection becoming an issue with neighbors

MOUNT VERNON — A vast collection of Jaguar vehicles is a hobby enjoyed by Dave Davison of Mount Vernon; however, some of his neighbors aren't as excited about his hobby as he is.

I have noticed all those old cars sitting there. The place really looks like a junkyard. I think the owner has big intentions that will never be accomplished.nWhen you have just one car to fix up & restore, it still takes alot of time, money, work, effort, & everything. So how in the world can he fix up a whole lot of junkers that need everything done?nI think he is a hoarder. Just doesnt know when to stop.

nnu201cI think itu2019s junky,u201d said Marilyn Beck. u201cItu2019s time (to clean it up). The lotu2019s nearly full.u201dnnThis lady sounds like the type of person that wants to tell everyone what to do. It is his property to do with what he pleases. Leave the man alone. Do we really need to waste our time with a man and his cars? Can’t you simply not look at his cars if you don’t like them Marilyn?

It is a shame that this gentelman has collected so many of the cars he loves that need to be repaired .I believe a serious collector would get only one then get it is great shape then get another car.It does not make sence to keep buying them if he has no time to work on the ones he has.If I had only one car on my property that is not driveable the law or ordiance would be enforced to have me remove it,no mater if it was my hobby or not.I agree with the neighbors clean up the lot it devalues my property. Years ago my son was in the Air Force in England and left his Jeep at home with me and the Police told me it had to go or I would go to court because no one was moving it . Becides the neighbor it is on a state route and gives a bad impression to folks coming into our town.
