I agree that children need to be held accountable for their actions, but a teacher should NEVER hurt/slap a child regardless. What goes on within the walls of that school would shock people!!! My children went to school there up until 2 years ago. My son was bit on his upper left inner thigh by another child and the school NEVER contacted me regarding this incident. A mother of another boy in my son's class contacted me about the incident. When I went to the principal the day after I found out about this and asked why I was not contacted about this her lame excuse was that it was an early release day due to the snowy weather and they never got around to it. The principal should have been on the phone calling me when my son and the boy that bit him were called to the office. The principal proceeded to tell me that they sent my son into the faculty restroom to see if he needed medical attention. As a 9 year old at that time, does the school honestly think he should be able to make a determination as to whether or not he needs medical attention. My advice to anyone thinking about sending their children to St. Vincent school ... turn and run away as fast as you can. As I stated earlier, the things that go on within the walls of that school would SHOCK you.n

Parents today need to wake up! I would be asking my children what they had done to make a teacher this mad. Children today are not held accountable for bad behavior.. Mr Vining is a wonderful teacher who would never hurt a child unless extremely provoked.
