I dont have pets, but I remember one time a car hit a cat in front of my house. It needed to be put down, but there was nowhere to take it. It was late evening, I didn’t know whose cat it was, & it screamed all night. I took it to a local vet at 9:00 the next morning, & they put it out of its misery.

But imagine how much suffering could’ve been avoided if there was somewhere to take it.

This shows the compassion of a real animal lover, to allow themselves to be contacted regardless of the hour.
