Frisch's seeking option to build on Coshocton Avenue

MOUNT VERNON — Representatives of Frisch's closed on the purchase of a Coshocton Avenue property, just east of Bob Evans Restaurant last week, according to Karen Maier, vice president of marketing for Frisch's.

    The reason we dont have nice places like Red Lobster Applebees and Texas Roadhouse is all these places have bars and therefore require liquor licenses.  Those are so hard to obtain in Mount Vernon that these buisnesses dont bother, Red Lobster wanted to open here in the late 90′s and good ol city council shot that down, they wanted Red Lobster to change its buisness model and open without a bar.  Once again your city council keeping Mount Vernon locked in the stone age.

     I believe Mt. Vernon could be better served by an Applebees or Red Lobster than another Hamburg joint we have enough sell the land purchase to one of them no Frisch’s

    Great another fastfood joint! Lets get some nice restaurants like Red Lobster.Applebees or a Texas Roadhouse. I get to the point that I don’t want to go out to eat in Mt.Vernon! The places we have around here are getting worse. Used to like Ruby Tuesdays but food has got so bad and never nothing new thats any good. 98% of my friends and family have to go to Newark to have a good meal. So sad!!!!!
