My husband and I filed for our permit mid April and still have not heard anything from the Sheriffs office. Our check for the permit was cashed over 45 days ago. We have been leaving several messages a week for Deputy Selby and can not even get a return call back. We have also talked with several other Knox county residents who has gone through the same exact long wait. Our advise for anyone filing for their permit is to go to another connecting county other than Knox if you do not want to wait the unreasonable amount of time for them to service you.
