The city needs to stop calling and sending letters to the property owner…  if anything the city should do is put up a sign stating that the street is not city property and its privately maintained … drive at ur own risk.

Mount Vernon is concerned about a private owned piece of property called Venture Drive. Worried about fixing a road hazard. Maybe Mount Vernon should be concerned about a street called East Chestnut Street. Has anyone traveled this street lately? It’s like a washboard around Stevens Street and Teryl Drive. True this Venture Drive should be repaired, but the city needs to take care of their own problems before they worry about what others are doing.
