Freedom Center making changes

MOUNT VERNON — Although a transition is under way at the Alcohol and Drug Freedom Center of Knox County, its doors are not closing.

    Interesting how this board thinks they are fiscally sound when they hire an outside firm at a high cost.  Then the board requires the finance person’s job to be eliminated and replaced her with an $80.00 per hour person on loan from Licking County, and now has hired this same consultant at what price to be the executive director until a new one is hired.  Talk about wasteful spending!  Also seems strange that before he is even notified the board members talk and people on the street know this before he is even told.  I guess certain people just couldn’t wait to get the word out, but I think someone needs to look into board notes to see what is really going on and whether or not this board is really working in the best interest of the FC, or are they fumbling around making things worse?  Sounds like some more digging is needed into the situation.
