Report: Loud noise heard on Sugar Street

MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon Police Department took a report this morning at approximately 12:30 of a loud noise on East Sugar Street.

        A loud noise could be the result of a crash, an assault, an explosion, etc.

        Were any of those events to occur and be ignored by the police, it would be a problem.

        In my non-news opinion, the article would be better were it to explain more about the nature and source of the noise.

      Was it just a grey squirrel? I’d read an article about it if it was a fox or a red squirrel.

        Wonder if its a truck or a car? Could be important, I better go see.

          In all seriousness I wonder if they would have come and done a story about the merlin nest at my neighbors last year. I know it got mentioned in some other places.
