We take our children every year. Our son loves being able to dress up as his favorite super hero and showing it off to everyone. This is the one day a year that children and adults alike can dress how they want and it be accepted.

While I do make it appoint to take my children every year we do not give him the candy that he receives there and even if we didn't we walk to every door with him and watch what is put in his bag and then re check everything when we get home before he is allowed to have any of it.

I can't help but wonder if you and the other two people that like your comment protest the mall Santas or at the many annual holiday parties the Moose chapters and VAs have for children. Every gift and treat they give out is all donated by many of the same people who spend there money to make this one night great for every child in America. What about the many other places that take donations from these people to make sure that every child gets something, do you complain and grip about them as well?

Celebrating this holiday is purely by choice if you don't want to then that is fine but don't sit on the computer and make a comment about something. As long as there is money to be made off this and any other holiday I might add it will forever be around.

With that said you have many choices. Get over it or bunker down in your own home between the hours listed above.

Parents.... are you really aware of what you are doing? The dangers you are putting your kids in?

We tell our kids their whole life not to talk to strangers, NEVER take candy from strangers, but then walk them door to door & accept candy from total strangers.

People are cruel & hurtful to kids nowdays more than ever. Not to mention people have time to plan their poisonings or whatever they want to because they are given a schedule as to when the children are coming.

I cant see for the life of me why a loving parent would ever, ever put their child at such a risk!! They complain about school lunches, or quality of fast food places, but then take chances of candy being poisoned or peed on, or drugged or germed up or worse.

Ever hear about the kid who lost have their face when a fire cracker went off inside of the candy bar? Or the one filled with needles? Or LSD?

I personally wish this crazy dangerous holiday would be outlawed!!
