MOUNT VERNON — Complaining about the officials is as old as the first football game ever played. Just like the weather, everyone complains about them at one time or another.

I don’t think grading a official should be based on wether your team had more penalties called on them compared to the others in that contest. That sounds more like sour grapes.  If anything you should review the game film first and see if those calls were legit if visible on film and if so were they judgement calls ( Holding, pass interference, block in the back, etc…)versus rules infraction i.e. false starts, encroachments, substitution.  Once you’ve done that evaluate if it was the offcials misjudgement or if it is a teaching point that can be corrected by the coaching staff. Just my two cents.
