MOUNT VERNON — Knox County’s annual Food for the Hungry drive takes place today with multiple collection points throughout the county.

In addition to the main collection point at Mount Vernon City Hall on Public Square, food and monetary donations can be dropped off at the following locations:

9 a.m. to noon

Apple Valley — Killbuck Savings Bank (cash donations only).

Brinkhaven — Post Office (cash only).

Centerburg — Post Office and Village Gazebo.

Danville — First-Knox National Bank, Killbuck Savings Bank and Post Office (all locations cash only).

9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Apple Valley — Apple Valley General Store.

Centerburg — Dollar General, Hometown Market, Interchurch.

Danville — Dale’s Cardinal Market, Elementary School, Interchurch, Lonsinger’s Pharmacy (cash only), Lyon’s Den, That Place on Market.

Fredericktown —Community Library, Fredericktown Market, Interchurch.

Millwood — Spearman’s Restaurant (cash only).

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Gambier — The Village Market.

Mount Vernon — Aldi, Big K-Mart, Kroger, Lanning’s Foods, Neff’s Cardinal Market, Walmart Supercenter.
