MOUNT VERNON — In this time of economic stress, taxpayers are rejecting the passage of levies to operate their local schools, and the school boards of more than 200 of the state's 600 public school districts have passed formal resolutions opposing the passage of HB 136 which has been dubbed the Parental Choice and Taxpayer Savings Scholarship Program.

Vote this down. I am not paying for private schools. We have enough problems. Lets not re-invent the wheel. Lets repair what we have by more parent participation. Quit sticking up for your children when they are wrong. Make them tow the line. Schools should not have to raise your children. Teach them good moral values at home. Don’t make me pay for your kid to go to private school. My parents paid for my schooling until I went to public school. I received a fine education in the Mount Vernon Schools.
