    MOUNT VERNON — Sheriff deputies have taken several reports of counterfeit money being passed at local businesses. The first reports were involving one dollar and five dollar bills. Yesterday, deputies took a second report of twenty dollar bills being passed. Most of the businesses appear to be bars and gas stations. The Knox County Sheriff’s Office are urging businesses to use the security marking pen on any money that they suspect may be counterfeit.
