MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon Police Department is searching for further information regarding seven bottles found Saturday evening on Taylor Road.

Capt. George Hartz told the News the MVPD received a call about some suspicious looking bottles found along a tree line near Dan Emmett Park. Officers arrived at the scene and discovered the bottles which were believed to have been used in manufacturing methamphetamines. The officers contacted detectives who then neutralized and destroyed the bottles.

There are currently no suspects, and Hartz encourages anyone with further information to contact the police department at 393-9559.
