MOUNT VERNON — The Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County is ready to dig in to a summer full of books and events for the 2013 “Dig Into Reading” Summer Reading Program at all locations for all ages. Registration begins, Saturday, June 1.

At the main library in Mount Vernon, the program themes and dates will be:

•“Dig Into Reading” (children through grade five), June 1-July 11.

•“Beneath the Surface” (youth grades six through 12), June 1-July 11.

•“Groundbreaking Reads” (adults age 18 and up), June 1-July 21.

The Fredericktown Community Library, Danville Public Library and Gambier Community Library will host their own “Dig Into Reading” Summer Reading Program for all ages from June 1 through July 10.

Participants will be eligible for prizes and special incentives throughout the Summer Reading program.
