Zoo brings program to Knox County
Monday, June 10th
MOUNT VERNON — “Lions, tigers and bears! Oh, my!” may not exactly be the theme this year, but the Columbus Zoo will bring its popular program back to Knox County for the “Dig Into Reading” Summer Reading Program at the Public Library of Mount Vernon and Knox County, courtesy of First-Knox National Bank.
Plenty of seating will be available for the public at the following locations and dates:
•Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Gambier Community Library (in the community center gymnasium); and 1 p.m. at Fredericktown Community Library (in the old high school gym).
•Thursday at 10 a.m. Mount Vernon Main Library (in the YMCA Sports Center, 200 W. Chestnut St.); and 1 p.m. at Danville Public Library (in St. Luke Community Center).
Weekly summer reading programs are free and open to the public. Registration is not required to attend, but participants of all ages are encouraged to sign up to be eligible for prizes and special incentives. Donations received at the Friends of the Library Book Warehouse are used to support summer reading programs in Mount Vernon, Danville, Gambier and Fredericktown.
