HOWARD — Shortly after 9/11, the East Knox High School graduating class of 2003 ventured out into the world to begin their lives in a whole new way. Ten years later, alumni are reuniting to share their experiences of time spent apart. Whether it’s acquiring life experiences through parenthood, career opportunities, educational advancement or fighting for our freedom, they have done it all.
U.S. Army 1st Lt. Adam Lawson of the 101st Airborne, left, is pictured with his brother, U.S. Army 1st Lt. Nathan Lawson of the 384th Military Police Battalion. The brothers were fortunate enough to meet up during their respective deployments this past spring.
U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Seth Swearengin is currently deployed to Northern Afghanistan. One of the most memorable times Swearengin has experienced in the Air Force is when he was able to ride along on a C-130 night mission. “It was a training mission, but standing on the rear door of the C-130 while it was open and doing air drops using night vision goggles was a good time,” said Swearengin.
