MOUNT GILEAD — When flood waters swamped Horse Bottom Acres Rescue Tuesday, 16 horses were forced to swim to dry land. However, farm manager Darrian Maddy said the flood destroyed most of the organization’s feed and hay, as well as leaving behind a mess.

According to ABC 6 News, Delaware County Humane Society donated several bales of hay to the rescue organization, but more supplies are needed.

Anyone interested in donating money, hay, or feed to the rescue is encouraged to contact Cathy Shomber at 614-266-2294 or mail donations to First-Knox National Bank – Horse Bottom Acres, P.O Box 70, Mt.Gilead Ohio 43338.
