MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Sheriff's Office confirmed this morning it is investigating gun-fire at a residence near the intersection of Canda and Depolo roads.

FREDERICKTOWN — The Fredericktown Board of Education took what board president Tom Seymour described as "painful steps" to be as "fiscally responsible as possible," and to help alleviate the district's "unfortunate financial situation partly because the levy failed in May."

MOUNT VERNON — According to Knox County Prosecutor John Thatcher, Dale A. Woody, 24, was sentenced to a four-year prison term Tuesday for 16 felony convictions.

International Paper resumes operations
