Names of local sex offenders match profiles on MySpace
MOUNT VERNON -- A Mount Vernon News investigation has discovered that at least seven Knox County sex offenders appear to have personal pages on Myspace.com, one of a number of social networking sites popular with teenagers.
Prison inmate files suit against public defender, private attorney
MOUNT VERNON -- Knox County Common Pleas Court Judge Otho Eyster will not preside over a lawsuit filed by prison inmate Mark Applegarth against the Knox County Public Defender’s Office, choosing to recuse himself from the case and have another judge appointed.
Park district acquires property
DANVILLE -- The Knox County Park District is 102 acres richer. Kris Pohlman, director, announced Thursday the successful acquisition of a property located along Walhonding Road near the confluence of the Kokosing and Mohican rivers.
Redskins topple Granville 57-35
UTICA-- One of the qualities of a championship team is being able to win without always being on top of its game. The Utica Redskins struggled at times, but made the big plays when they counted as they defeated Granville 57-35 on Saturday afternoon.
