MySpace cracks down on sex offenders
MOUNT VERNON -- MySpace.com has begun its efforts to crack down on sex offenders, removing all four of the remaining MySpace.com profiles that were linked to registered Knox County sex offenders.

Bill would require sex offenders to register Internet addresses
MOUNT VERNON -- MySpace officials have been busy in the nation’s capital, advocating proposed federal legislation that would require sex offenders to register their e-mail addresses with the National Sex Offender Registry.

Counterclaim filed in cyberstalking case
MOUNT VERNON -- Miriam St. Jean, the Mount Vernon woman whom local attorney Scott Pullins alleges is cyberstalking him, has filed a counterclaim against the Mount Vernon lawyer in Knox County Common Pleas Court.

PICKERINGTON -- After last Saturday’s 54-52 upset over undefeated Dublin Scioto, the Mount Vernon High School boys basketball team was unable to pick up a win on Friday, falling to Pickerington Central, 55-40. The Yellow Jackets and Tigers entered the game tied for second place in the Ohio Capital Conference Cardinal Division at 3-4.

Johnnies defeat rival Vikings, 44-37
JOHNSTOWN -- There is a lot to celebrate for Johnstown sports. The boys golf team was honored for its 2006 State Championship prior to the Johnstown High School boys basketball game against Northridge on Friday night. The Johnnies added to the excitement by defeating the rival Vikings, 44-37.
