GAMBIER -- Peirce Hall, the tallest building on the campus of Kenyon College, rises 100 feet above The Hill, its tall tower an impressive sight above the trees. It was built in 1929 and is under renovation. The Great Hall, with dark wood, lofty ceiling and dramatic detail, resembles Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in the series of Harry Potter movies.

Training how to fight fires (VIDEO)
FREDERICKTOWN -- Bitter winds, cold rain and a hot training fire made for an eventful day for the Fredericktown Community Fire District on Saturday. The empty one-story home on Green Valley Road was used for fire instruction training throughout the morning, leading up to a final exercise at 11 a.m. when firefighters set the final fire to the structure.

Herbie J's restaurant closes; owners expect to relocate
MOUNT VERNON -- Herbie J's restaurant at 120 Newark Road is closed. The restaurant closed the day after Christmas, according to restaurant operator Sandy Joyner, who said she and her husband, Herbie Joyner, plan to relocate in a new location in the city within a matter of weeks. She said they plan to relocate possibly somewhere in the city's downtown.

FREDERICKTOWN -- It was one of the Fredericktown Freddies'goals from the outset of the season. To do what no Mid-Buckeye Conference girls basketball team has done since the 2004-05 season -- win a game against the indomitable Utica Redskins.
