MOUNT VERNON -- Mayor Richard Mavis said he is expecting the Ohio Department of Transportation to fund a study that may result in the lowering of the speed limit along a stretch of Gambier Road.

WESTERVILLE -- The Mount Vernon High School girls basketball team couldn't be happier after its 49-33 win against Westerville South Friday night. Mount Vernon lost at home by 25 points to South the first time the schools matched up, so revenge was definitely on the Jackets'minds as they played against the conference's second-best team.
