The art of glass blowing, in any form, is an art that requires proper training and practice to develop technique and style. Mount Vernon artist, Robert Coleman, opened his studio to Mount Vernon News videographer George Breithaupt to demonstrate glass blowing using compressed air.

MOUNT VERNON -- The Fredericktown High School girls basketball team has done what few teams get the privilege to do -- stay undefeated. After 16 games, the Freddies are 16-0, and head coach Dave Logan thinks this year's team could already be the winningest girls basketball team in school history. Records of an unbeaten have not been found.

Jackets hope to finish strong
MOUNT VERNON -- It's been a rough week for the Mount Vernon High School boys basketball team. Not only have the Yellow Jackets lost senior Joe Stuart to injury, but they also have dropped three games.
