Cloned meat huh? Wow...so thought provoking. Is this rag for
children or the brain damaged?

Now folk's there's room for all of God's cloned creatures.
You just put the Cloned T-Bone next to the Cloned mashed
potatoes and Cloned green beans. and how about a nice Cloned
honey baked spiral sliced ham for easter. and then head of
to "steak 'n' stemcell" for desert.

We would all be better served praying
to the sun every morning, atleast we know it will rise
again.

Forget meat. We need to get to cloning and harvesting
babbies for those stem cells.

First, I'd like to say hey to everyone in the
Fredericktown/Mt. Vernon (my home towns)area!!
As for
the cloning of animals. I belive that in Genesis, Lucifer
was kicked out of heaven for wanting to be as powerful as
God. I truly feel like trying to be the "Creator"
is wrong and those that do it will be kicked out of heaven
for playing God.

I would not eat it. I agree with Sandra Porter, one more
way to eliminate the little man. I also recently read that
an animal that was cloned had to be euthanized two years
later, due to complications.

What happens when the cloned animals become starter than
airport security? I’ll tell you, they get on our planes and
fly to Asia and take the jobs away from AMERICAN farm
animals. The last time I was on Green Valley road the cows
in the field creeped me out, they knew I was coming, they
are getting too smart for me. Why does nobody talk about
dumbing down these cows, chickens and pigs? I for one will
vote republican, they are the only ones taking the dumbing
initiative serious.

CLONED animal = Human IN
THE back seat, not driving, they WILL drive us!

When will people learn that messing with mother nature only
leads to bad things. Look at killer bees. We created them
and now thousand of people die each year as a result of bee
attacks. Just imagine what will happen when scientist decide
to create some kind of super chicken that eventually escapes
and breeds with wild chickens thus created flocks of 100
pound chickens that terrorize our countryside.

When cloned meat is avaliable, I will eat it. cloning is the
process of duplicating DNA, if it is not duplicated too
much, it will not mutate, and will be exactly as the animal
it is a copy of.It has been researched for years, and i
think is is safe.

I personally will not eat clone meat. I think it needs to
be disclosed when selling in the stores that it is clone
meat.
January 29, 2008, 7:30 am
Submitted by Pam From Mt. Vernon, OH
It should be noted that cloning is not the same thing as
genetic engineering. That is when scientists fool around
with the DNA of an animal. Cloning is the attempt to produce
an exact copy of a healthy animal with certain desirable
charcatoristics. The cloning process is not fully developed.
Many cloned animals die early, are still-born or have
phyical problems not present in the original animal. If the
cloning can be developed to the point where an exact copy is
produced, there should be no health hazard. The biggest
problem would be, as noted earlier, that there would not be
the genetic diversity to fight some new disease and the
whole line of cloned animals dies off.

I would eat is as long as it's not to expensive. However, it
will probably cost a lot because farmers will all have to
buy cloning machines once we switch to animals without
reproductive organs.

I think money should go to the farmers to help with organic
farming we all know it's healthier, and maybe that way the
prices on organic foods would go down so every one could buy
healthier foods.who knows what cloning meat will do to us in
the long run

i think it needs more research and the researchers and the
clonners should eat it for atleast 2 years to see if and
what effects it does cause.

Sounds like there still needs to be plenty of research into
the cloning. Wouldn't money be better spent helping farmers
around the world rather than making a cloning agency and the
government richer?

Are they afraid we're going to
run out of cattle? Instead of spending billions on
cloning, put that money in the hands of America's farmers
who have been doing it for generations!!!

I guess
this is another reason why I switched to eating chicken and
seafood.

HUMANS??? WOULD YOU CLONE A CHILD TO SAVE HIS/HER LIFE?
SPOUSE? PARENT?

First of all they don't clone meat, they clone animals.
This would mean that the meat from one would be the same as
the origional. It would be no different. They would not
use just one animal to clone forever. Many animals would be
used therefore there would be several groups anumals similar
to their origional. Where is the problem?

Not to be messing with />MOTHER NATURE !!

When every head of cattle in a field is genetically
identical, any disease that aflicts one would aflict all.
And that would require all the more antibiotics to keep them
alive. The Irish Potato Famine, which led to over a
millions deaths in the 1840s, was made possible by a
dependence on just a few potato varieties with very limited
genetic diversity. Sounds like a very bad idea to me.
