Fourth family member found dead in McGibney Road apartment
MOUNT VERNON -- The tragic murder-suicide that left three Gambier residents dead on Sunday was compounded later that day with the reported death of a fourth family member.

MOUNT VERNON -- The body of a deceased male was found Sunday in an apartment on McGibney Road, according to Mount Vernon Police Capt. George Hartz.

MOUNT VERNON -- Dr. Lorle Porter led 160 Knox County residents on a trip into the dark forest on Saturday. Porter was the featured speaker at Knox County's 200th Birthday Party at The Dan Emmett Conference Center, and her speech focused on the first settlers into Knox County.

Freddies'perfect season comes to an end
LEXINGTON -- All good things must come to an end. That's what happened to the Fredericktown High School girls basketball team on Saturday afternoon. After 25 straight wins, a conference championship, a district championship and a regional victory, the Freddies finally met their match on Saturday afternoon in the Division III Regional Final at Lexington High School.

Spreng finishes sixth; Block, Britt take seventh
COLUMBUS -- For the three remaining area wrestlers in the 2008 OHSAA State Wrestling tournament at the Jerome Schottenstein Center on Saturday, it was just a matter of where they would stand on the podium. Each had clinched All-Ohio honors the day before.
