GAMBIER -- Kenyon College hosted a town hall meeting on underage consumption Wednesday night, allowing students and community members to ask questions of a gathered panel.

MOUNT VERNON -- A Mount Vernon man wanted on a fugitive warrant was arrested two weeks ago in Raleigh, N.C. William L. Garlic, 31, is wanted in Knox County on multiple counts of aggravated arson and arson for allegedly setting fire to his historic Granville Road home last August.

MOUNT VERNON -- For 4 2/3 innings on Wednesday afternoon, the Mount Vernon High School softball team looked strong like it would cruise to a season-opening victory. Unfortunately, before the Yellow Jackets could register the third out, things went south.

Jackets pick up second win
MOUNT VERNON -- The weather finally began to return to normal on Wednesday, particularly the wind, and that gave the Mount Vernon High School boys tennis team another chance to test its skills. For the second time in two days, the Yellow Jackets picked up a victory, this time defeating Westerville Central, 4-1.
