DANVILLE — Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision Monday night on Ohio 514, one mile north of Danville. Rodney Baumgartner, 41, Danville, was flown by MedFlight helicopter to Ohio State University Medical Center, where he is listed in serious condition. He was the passenger in a pickup truck driven by Richard Sharp, 41, Danville, who is listed in fair condition in Grant Medical Center.

The driver of the other vehicle, Martha Stutz, 69, Danville, is also in Grant Medical Center, listed in fair condition.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol said Sharp was southbound and lost contol of his 1993 Ford F-150 pickup truck at 8:03 p.m. It went left of center and hit a van driven by Stutz. The patrol said Stutz steered her van to the right to avoid the crash. The van was shoved into the guardrail after the collision. The left front corners of the vehicles collided, with heavy damage to both.
