Fraley sentenced to 60 days in jail

MOUNT VERNON — This morning, a Mount Vernon man was sentenced to 60 days in jail and three years of community control on four counts of trafficking in drugs. Robert M. Fraley, 26, is the latest defendant to plead guilty to selling drugs to police informant Jason Blubaugh.

As part of a plea agreement, second- and third-degree trafficking charges were dismissed.

Common Pleas Judge Otho Eyster said Fraley will be given credit for three days served, and ordered Fraley to pay $1,600 in restitution to the Mount Vernon Police Department for money obtained during the drug deals. Fraley will also serve a six-month driver’s license suspension, undergo a drug and alcohol assessment, and a period of drug and alcohol monitoring. Eyster said any violation of the terms of probation could land Fraley up to 17 months in prison on each of the four counts, to be served concurrently.
