Highland takes pair from Trojans
CENTERBURG -- There is a lot to be said for playing small ball and moving runners over, but sometimes a team just likes to bring out the big bats. The Highland High School softball team managed to do both in a pair of victories over Centerburg on Saturday afternoon. The first game saw the ball pass over the fence twice as the Scots won, 20-5. The second game proved to be mildly more subdued as the Scots picked up the 11-1 win.

Colts, Scots win DII-III
MOUNT VERNON -- The 28th annual Yellow Jacket relays was a fun meet for local Division II and III schools. The Clear Fork High School girls and the Highland High School boys teams won the meet.

Jackets finish first, third
MOUNT VERNON -- Domination on the track was key for the Mount Vernon High School girls track and field team at the Rotary Yellow Jacket Relays on Saturday.
