Council given presentation on wastewater plant project
MOUNT VERNON -- A representative from a Columbus-based engineering and consulting firm gave City Council a presentation on an estimated $12.796 million electrical and equipment upgrade at the city wastewater plant. Construction on the project is expected to get under way in 2009.

County finalizes CHIP grant application
MOUNT VERNON -- On Monday morning, the Knox County Board of Commissioners met with Amy Schocken, senior planner for Community Development Consultants, to finalize the county's community home improvement program grant application.

First Fridays set to begin 2008 season
