Playground gets makeover - VIDEO
Team Ten is a group of 45 Mount Vernon High School sophomores which designed and painted signs and playground games on the asphalt at Pleasant Street School.

Jackets celebrate Senior Day despite losses
MOUNT VERNON -- A little rain didn't dampen the intensity of the Mount Vernon High School baseball team's Senior Night on Wednesday. The Yellow Jackets took on Pickerington Central in a duel that kept both teams on their feet until the last out of the game. The Tigers held on for a 5-3 win, allowing them to win the Ohio Capital Conference title.

MOUNT VERNON -- It seemed like the rain was going to shorten the Mount Vernon High School softball game on Senior Night, but in the end it was the thunder from the powerful Pickerington Central bats that brought Wednesday's shutout loss to an early end.
