Grange Avenue house burns after explosions
Explosions, apparently more than one, followed by fire, heavily damages a Grange Avenue house on Saturday afternoon. Mount Vernon, Fredericktown and College Township firefighters fought the fire.

Thirteen indicted by grand jury
MOUNT VERNON -- Indictments were returned in 13 cases on May 5 by a Knox County Grand Jury for various felony crimes. Arraignments are scheduled for May 23 at 9 a.m. in the Knox County Court of Common Pleas before Judge Otho Eyster.
