Two homes raided for illegal hunting
AMITY -- Ohio Division of Wildlife officers, assisted by local police agencies, raided two homes in Mount Vernon and one in Amity on Wednesday, and confiscated deer and turkey meat, weapons and hunting equipment. In Amity, officials found 75 packages of deer meat.

That was the case for the Danville High School softball team on a misty Wednesday afternoon. The Blue Devils used a big first inning to power their way to a 21-0 victory over the Gahanna Christian Eagles in Division IV tournament action.

GROVEPORT -- When spectacular pitching combines with spectacular defense, a game normally becomes a gem.That is exactly what the Mount Vernon High School softball team got in its 2-0 victory over the Groveport-Madison Cruisers on Wednesday night.
