Students do well in worldwide Latin exam
MOUNT VERNON -- Considered by many to be a dead language, Latin is alive and well at Mount Vernon High School. Students from Mount Vernon Middle School and St. Vincent de Paul School join scholars from Mount Vernon High School to learn about historical Latin culture as well as the language.

County appeals EPA recommendations
MOUNT VERNON -- On Thursday morning, the Knox County Board of Commissioners met with Ron Simpson, superintendent of Water and Wastewater, and Jason Figgins, assistant superintendent of Water and Wastewater. Simpson and Figgins discussed a number of items with the commissioners.

Missing boy found
MOUNT VERNON -- Kyle Moran, a 12-year-old boy from the Martinsburg area, went missing on Wednesday evening, but was found on Thursday, according to the Knox County Sheriff's Office.

MVHS has 'drug incident'
MOUNT VERNON -- In the past few days, rumors have been circulating through Mount Vernon High School that one or more students were apprehended stealing and/or selling prescription drugs such as Xanax, and got sent to time out.

Colts'season ends in loss
Galion -- The Clear Fork High School baseball team's season came to an end in the Division II Northwest District Semifinals on Thursday night. The Colts dropped the game to the Sandusky Perkins Panthers, 6-3, at Galion High School.
