MOUNT VERNON -- The War Department telegram was brief. "The Secretary of War desires me to express his deep regret that your husband Technical Sergeant Granville D. Pritchett has been reported missing in action since Twenty September in France,"the document said.

Five sentenced for various felonies
MOUNT VERNON -- On Friday, Judge Otho Eyster in the Knox County Court of Common Pleas sentenced four men and one woman for various felony crimes and violations of community control supervision, according to Knox County Prosecutor John Thatcher.

From walk-on to Big Ten Champ
MOUNT VERNON -- Scarlet and gray are colors Bryan Bunnell is used to wearing. After four years as a Fredericktown High School track and field athlete, Bunnell is now sporting the colors as a javelin thrower for The Ohio State University. On Sunday, he won the Big Ten Championship with a throw of 219 feet, 1 inch.
