DANVILLE -- Danville residents found new ways to celebrate old memories during the village's Memorial Day festivities on Monday. The village officially dedicated a new flagpole, a new Walk of Honor and a new memorial plaque at Memorial Park, capping a morning of festivities that included a parade and keynote address by the Rev. Lloyd Miller of Greer Wesleyan Church.

SPARTA -- Pastor Ken Mosser of the Olive Green Church led a devotional service at the Bloomfield Cemetery on Monday afternoon as South Bloomfield Township celebrated Memorial Day.

MOUNT VERNON -- Mount Vernon's Memorial Day parade was blessed with clear skies and warm weather, as a crowd of hundreds watched the 45-minute procession down High Street to Public Square.

CENTERBURG -- The village of Centerburg hosted a parade and a short service in the Eastview Cemetery on Monday to celebrate Memorial Day.

FREDERICKTOWN -- "Let us not forget,"said Bob Vernon, American Legion Post 500 commander, who served as master of ceremonies at the Memorial Day service at Forrest Cemetery in Fredericktown.

MOUNT VERNON -- A new walk-in, no-appointment medical clinic for non-critical illnesses, conditions and procedures has opened inside the Medicine Shoppe at 812 Coshocton Road.
