The Schnormeier Gardens of Gambier held an open house this past weekend inviting guest to experience a peaceful walk through the Japanese style gardens. Inspired by their journeys to Asia, the Schnormeiers have captured the natural and cultural essence. The beautiful gardens encompass 10 lakes, several waterfalls, an arched bridge, a Japanese teahouse, garden house, and wide collection of sculptures

DANVILLE -- All of Danville turned out for the annual turkey festival parade on Saturday evening.

FREDERICKTOWN -- A little bit of history went on the auction block Saturday when the Fredericktown Local Schools sold off some surplus equipment and furnishings. Anything that one can imagine in a school was up for sale.

CENTERBURG -- There were teachers, students, community members and lots of food at a different kind of June graduation ceremony just outside of Centerburg on Saturday. There were also lots of flames and smoke to mark the occasion.

DANVILLE -- It was a day that was better suited for ducks, but Danville's annual Turkey Trot 5K run still drew a competitive field of runners to the muddy Mohican Trail for the area's first race of the summer.
