Relay breaks $100,000 barrier
FREDERICKTOWN -- The 12th annual Relay for Life, held at the Fredericktown High School stadium, ended at noon on Saturday. The total raised was $105,875.51, which will benefit the American Cancer Society.

Mustangs, BMWs highlight weekend racing
LEXINGTON -- It was a very busy weekend at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Despite some steady downpours, fans still showed up for the weekend's races and left with little disappointment. Several different series raced on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, including the Mustang Challenge Series and the Formula BMW America Open Wheel series.

Suburu takes KONI Challenge ST race
LEXINGTON -- Sunday's big race -- the KONI Challenge ST Series -- had race fans dodging raindrops and cheering on their favorite drivers. When the checked flag was flown, the winners were Chuck Hemmingson and Kristian Skavnes in their ICY/Phoenix Racing All-Wheel drive Subaru Legacy. Skavnes is in the winning Subaru car for the second year in a row at Mid-Ohio.

Repeat finish for Gainsco team
LEXINGTON -- A wild EMCO Gears Classic came to a fitting end at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course on Saturday. In a race that featured more caution time than actual green flag racing, the finish came on a yellow flag after a crash in front of pit row. That flag gave the No. 99 Gainsco Pontiac Riley, driven by Alex Gurney and Jon Fogarty, the victory.

Runners show off at Mohican 100
LOUDONVILLE -- Up and down hills, through rivers and rainstorms and even under the roasting sun -- participants in this weekend's Mohican Trail 100 endured much to show what ultramarathoners are made of.
