River search may have been result of prank call

A frustrating search for a man reported missing in the Kokosing River last week, may have all been the result of a prank call.

Sentences handed down to five for felony crimes

On Thursday, Judge Otho Eyster in the Knox County Court of Common Pleas sentenced four men and one woman for various felony crimes and violations of community control supervision, according to Knox County Prosecutor John Thatcher.

Bids opened on sidewalk project

On Thursday morning, the Knox County Board of Commissioners opened bids from contractors for the sidewalk paving project in the hamlet of Mount Liberty. Commissioner Allen Stockberger was absent from the session.

Free lunch program available
