The ending of the 2008 Tomato Show Lip Sync contest was a thriller, all right. A dozen dancers and syncers decked out in elaborate costumes and calling themselves Creatures of the Night recreated the famous video for Michael Jackson’s song “Thriller,” delighting the crowd and steamrolling to victory in numerous categories. The crowd demanded, and received, an encore performance at the end.

The ending of the 2008 Tomato Show Lip Sync contest was a thriller, all right. “He was stuck between the seat and steering wheel,” truck driver Mike Grogg said when he pulled another truck driver from a burning truck this morning. A driver for United Precast Inc., Grogg, 36, of Fredericktown, was following another UPI truck on Ohio 95 west of Fredericktown at McClelland Road.

Concerns addressed about cat shelter

The Knox County Commissioners met with representatives from the Knox County Humane Society on Thursday afternoon to discuss the current situation at the cat shelter on Columbus Road.

MV school board to extend public comment period if needed
