Fire Prevention Week

This week is National Fire Prevention Week. The News will feature a series all week regarding fire safety. A special Fire Prevention Week feature is included in Monday’s edition.

Smoke detectors needed in homes

So far this year, there have been 135 fire deaths in Ohio. According to the Ohio Division of State Fire Marshal, over 80 percent of those deaths have occurred in homes without working smoke detectors.
