MOUNT VERNON — Tonight, area residents are invited to participate in “Up for Discussion,” a forum for citizens to voice their opinion on a variety of topics. Sponsored by the Mount Vernon News, topics can range from politics to religion to what the future holds for Knox County. Citizens can select the topics they wish to discuss; depending on the topics selected, a time limit of 15 to 20 minutes may be placed on each topic.
“Up for Discussion” will be held at Sips Coffee House today from 7 to 8:15 p.m. It will also take place on Monday, Oct. 20, and Monday, Nov. 3. Sips is located 101 S. Main St., Mount Vernon.
