MV police investigating alleged stabbing

MOUNT VERNON — Mount Vernon Police investigated an alleged stabbing incident last night at 103 Crook St.

The victim, Cathy J. Faught, said she was home alone and asleep in her bedroom when an unknown person allegedly entered the room and attacked her. She could not describe to police the instruments used to attack her.

Faught was taken to Knox Community Hospital, where she was treated for small cuts and a small stab wound. There is no suspect in the attack. The incident is being investigated by Detective Sgt. Jacobs and Detective Craig Feeney of the Mount Vernon Police Department.
